Half-Life 2: Episode Three is a canceled first-person shooter game developed by Valve. It was planned as the last in a trilogy of episodic games continuing the story of Half-Life 2 (2004). Valve announced Episode Three in May 2006, with a release planned for 2007. Following the cliffhanger ending of Episode Two (2007), it was widely anticipated.
This year's Half-Life: Alyx brings back the iconic series 13 years after Half-Life 2: Episode 2 's cliffhanger in 2007. That game ended with Alyx cradling her dying father's body and Gordon Freeman falling unconscious. Now, Valve has made definite changes that shake up the story, taking it in a new direction.
Unreal - Half-Life - Sin was the 1998 killer FPS lineup (kinda like Doom 3 - Far Cry - Half-Life 2 in 2004). Tbh, I think part of the success of Half-Life was its modest requirements, it could run extremely well even in software mode on so-so PCs. Unreal was more demanding in software.
